I am driving myself crazy trying to figure this out..
I have a 2000 slim PSP from Japan. It is a Rose Pink color. The serial behind battery begins as.. HJ541-- Is the motherboard okay for hacking? I find many guides based on US version PSP. I also do not have the box to check and my firmware is too high to check with PSPIDENT. Any other way I can check?
If I buy a Pandora battery (since no one could know the above answer for sure) and use my current memory stick to make into a MMS, can I still use my memory stick as a normal one? I have backed up all my current save data for games. I am worried if my PSP turns out not unhackable, I might lose my memory stick to use for my game umd.
I am looking to buy the Pandora battery that is a bit big for 2000 slim, but still does work. After installing CFW, can I use my old battery then for playing the iso and my umd? the guide made it seem you use the battery to get CFW and then can toss it away.
And finally, even with CFW, you can still play umd right? Even the newest releases? I'm pretty sure I read yes to this, but just double checking.
