I've found this page in psp-hacks.com :

http://psp.dashhacks.com/file/2101

its about downloading and installing cfw:
"PSP CFW 6.39 PRO-B7"

it says there the following instruction:
"You must be running PSP Official Firmware (OFW) 6.39 prior to installing/using this."

but, if I have OFW I will not be able to run homebrew anymore,
which I assume also includes that when I have OFW I will not be able to run CFW upgrades, right?
So why is that requested?

Am I requested there to find a glitch in the OFC to allow me to exploit it by myself before installing the CFW?
what am I missing here?

I am very scared of losing the CFW abilities I already have on my
PSP-1000, version 5.00 M33-6.

the first time I installed CFW I used a pandora battery which I do not have anymore with me so I do not want to do things which I can not fix.

PSA: we do not support cheating for online/mobile/multiplayer games, which may include trainers,
mod menu's, Exploits, Hacks, Tools & Macros, Bots and so on. (we do allow the posting of such for offline/single player games hoewever, online and multiplayer games is where we draw the line. Phone apps/games for example typically offer a storefront to purchase ingame currency for example; whether it's singleplayer or not, in such games, the aforementioned is not allowed.)
