I have a psp phat and it's already hacked. I'm trying to get to the latest homebrew update but I've read that you got to update to 3.52 M33-4 from 3.52 M33 to get to the latest updates. Every time I try to install 3.52 M33-4, I get a blank screen. I can access the boot up menu but I don't know what to do from there. I'm really stuck. I tried to do what someone else already. This guys to be exact:

Your firmware is too old. You cannot upgrade straight to either GEN-D3 or M33-6. Have two options, either use HellCat's Recovery Flasher like Dimos Bill suggested, or update to 5.00 M33-4 and from there go straight to GEN-D3 or M33-6. However, a lot of users have trouble with HellCat's Recovery Flasher.

Here's how to get to 5.00 M33-4 without using HellCat's Recovery Flasher:

Download 5.00 M33-4 CFW ~> http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/1616

Download 5.00 OFW ~> http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/1568

You'll need to rename 5.00 OFW EBOOT.PBP to 500.PBP and place the 500.PBP into the UPDATE folder of the 5.00 M33-4 CFW.

Once you are on 5.00 M33-4, then go straight to GEN-D3 using these procedures.

Download GEN-D3 installer here:

5.50 Official Sony Firmware here:

http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/1712

Also, you will need to download 5.50 Official Sony Firmware. Rename the 5.50 Official Sony Firmware EBOOT.PBP to 550.PBP, and place the 550.PBP into the root directory of your PSP memory stick.

but it says to update to 3.52 M33-3 or higher. Still doesn't work. Any help will be appreciated. Please and thank you.
