addicted to pokemon... AGAIN!

well, it started years ago with pokemon red.. on my old gameboy colour haha :awesome:, played it on and off beating it about 3 times :S .. and havent played it since then for about 3 years.... then recently i discovered a gba emulator on my trusty nokia.. and BAM!!! pokemon emerald addict, ive beat it, downloaded the leaf-green rom, and BAM!! pokemon leaf green addict.. haha i feel pre sad, ditching my xbox 360 for pokemon haha ... on my phone LOL... :S

well anyways.. anyone else feel the strange calling of pokemon? :disgusted::thinking:

I replayed Pokemon Blue the other day. My god it was a good game. Love the nostalgia. My top moments I can remember from first playing it are
1. Seeing the item ball just after I had left Viridian city, and going "OMGOMGOMG WHAT IS THAT OMG THERES A TREE IN THE WAY"
2. Spending ages, like, 5 hours, lost in caves, mainly victory road
3. Catching a ditto in the Indigo Plateau
4. Getting every single Pokemon in the game (bar Mew) and finally talking to that guy in Celadon City
5. The whole team rocket thing, they were awesome
6. Beating Lance for the first time, and finding there was still Gary left, when almost all of my pokemon were dead
7. Missingno. Lots and lots of rare candies/master balls ftw! And then looking at my Hall of Fame and finding a ton of pokemon that had the same cry noise as Zapdos, but looked like Pidgeot and had the type Bird/Bird
8. Realising that rhyhorn and Charizard had the same cry
9. Waiting for ages for the S.S. Anne to come back to port, so that I could show the trainers on board how much better I was
10. Finally, having my Mewtwo at level 99, and this was about my third play through on my GB colour, and then putting the game in my pocket, and going swimming in the surf with my clothes on. I never had a pokemon lv 100 on that game, even though I had collected every single one.

Pokemon is such a great series, and I think it is good to replay the clasics.

I've played Pokemon for more than 1100 hours in total. I have 7 different Pokemon games for Gameboy, so I'm kinda bored of the whole scenario. But just now.. I got a feeling that I wanna play Pokemon!

Yes, they are painfully repetitive, really what difference is there besides different Pokemon and a different name for the bad guys (Team ****^**). Yet they do sell.

ahh the days of pokemon..i used the play them all on my gameboy colour, gameboy sp, and still lately my nintendo ds, ive played through yellow, red, blue, silver, gold, crystal, leaf green, saphire, ruby, pearl i started playing diamond but got bored and finally i completed platinum.. i want a new one..haha

I used to be hooked on pokemon for a while until about pokemon gold/silver. Every new pokemon game is basically the whole "catch em all" thing all over again, this time with 250+ different pokemon.

We may be much older than the target age range...but it's still fun. I love the games :) Especially with hacking/modding

haha, yes me too, but i've had like almost all games of pokemon thanks to my brothers, firstly i've got myself pokemon yellow, my brothers had red and blue, that's how it all began (my Addiction :p). When gold and silver came out i bought gold, and my brothers bought gold and silver, but then my brothers have quitted pokemon for a long time, and only i bought emerald because my friends had ruby and sapphire. After a while my bro wanted to play pokemon again and bought fire red, then my other brother too, he bought leaf green.

now i am not playing pokemon anymore, i don't feel like playing it anymore too because i've had it with all these pokemon games and getting beat down by my brothers in a pokemon battle :thinking:..

anyhow, i've got almost all the games of pokemon till Gba: yellow,red,blue,gold,silver,emerald (not ruby or sapphire), leafgreen and fire red.

Same here, got into pokemon yellow back in '99.. Beat it around 4 times or so. Got addicted again a few years later when crystal came out. And then again with Sapphire.
